Bags OEM Manufacturer Avoids Stitching and Deformation Issues During Production

By Bag Wholesale Hub March 3rd, 2025

Hello friends! Today, bagwholesalehub is here to share how our bag factory prevents stitching issues and deformation in custom bags during the production process. This not only affects product quality but also directly impacts the market and reputation.

1. Fabric Selection is Key The fabric is the foundation of a custom bag and directly impacts its durability. Our factory uses high-quality leather, durable canvas, and wear-resistant synthetic leather. For example, first-layer cowhide has tightly packed fibers and strong toughness, making it hard to tear during use. In contrast, low-quality fabrics have sparse patterns, which easily lead to skipped stitches or seam opening during production, and wear and deformation happen quickly.

2. The Quality of the Thread Cannot Be Ignored The thickness and material of the thread should match the fabric. For leather bags, we use thicker, stronger nylon thread, which has a high tensile strength and won’t break easily. Ordinary cotton thread isn’t suitable as it can snap under tension, leading to seam openings. Additionally, the twist of the thread also matters—threads with the right twist make stitching smoother and more durable.

3. Precise Cutting and Pattern Design An improper pattern design can result in uneven stress on the bag, causing deformation. Our factory's pattern makers test the patterns repeatedly to ensure that the connections between different parts are natural and the stress is evenly distributed. When cutting, we pay attention to precision, ensuring that the measurements are accurate to the millimeter. Too much error can lead to gaps when stitching, affecting the appearance and strength of the product.

4. Expert Sewing Techniques Our workers are rigorously trained, and the stitch length is carefully controlled. Typically, 8-12 stitches per inch is ideal. If the stitches are too wide, the tension between the threads will be insufficient, making the seams likely to open. If the stitches are too small, the fabric may be damaged. For corners and edges, which are prone to stress, we use reinforced stitching techniques, such as backstitching and additional layers of stitches, to ensure durability.

5. Proper Installation of Hardware Although small, hardware components play a significant role. When installing, we ensure the positioning is precise and screws are tightened properly. If the hardware is not securely attached, the bag may shift or stretch during use, leading to thread breakage. High-quality hardware will not rust or deform easily, which extends the bag’s lifespan.

6. Quality Control Ensures Every Finished Product We have established a strict quality control system, with multiple checkpoints from the arrival of raw materials to the finished product’s departure from the factory. Any defective products are directly discarded to ensure that custom bags won’t open seams or deform during use. For customers, this not only guarantees quality but also strengthens brand image.

By controlling these six aspects, we ensure the quality of our custom bags. We must focus on quality to ensure smoother cooperation.
